PORT-AU-PRINCE, Monday November 20, 2023- Under the enlightened direction of Josué Mérilien, teacher-unionist, and Camille Chalmers, professor-economist,  a hard-hitting collective work  points the finger at those responsible for the deterioration of socio-economic conditions in Haiti .

The focus is on the authors and co-authors of this degradation, the sponsors of the organized violence of criminal gangs, as well as the complicity of imperialist powers and their allies in what is described as a silent genocide.

This publication denounces unworthy and inappropriate treatment, all the more shocking in the context of the International Decade for People of African Descent, dedicated to recognition, justice and development.

Courageous voices are being raised across the world to express their solidarity with Haiti, a symbolic country that has left its mark on the pages of human history.

From the Caribbean, a strong voice denounces the role of the United States, France and Canada in the destruction and dramatic impoverishment of Haiti. The right to self-determination of the Haitian people and the demand for restitution of imperialist looting and bourgeois corruption are at the heart of the demands.

From Europe, a voice resounds, emphasizing the need to lift the mask of indifference and cynicism. The beheadings and atrocities in Haiti are described as a reflection of international diplomacy, highlighting the responsibility of the international community in this crisis.

From Latin America, voices resonate, affirming that the Haitian people are not a threat to continental security and that they do not need foreign troops or international supervision.

From Africa and the Antilles, a vibrant echo recalls the coloniality of power and the State in Haiti, wondering about a possible punishment for having founded the first black republic. The principles of the United Nations Charter seem unworkable, and this comes during the Decade of People of African Descent, launched in 2015 to combat structural racism.

This publication is intended to be a vibrant appeal to strengthen the solidarity of people around the world, calling for support for the fight of Haitians against this silent genocide and in favor of complete emancipation
